The flat is located centrally at the "Villa Margerita" municipal park at the verge of the centro storico. On the second floor of an old palazzo the flat spans a 60m˛. Both, the bedroom and the living/dining room have "french balconies". You look out on the green park trees and the sea in the background.
Right in front of the door lies the "Villa Margherita" with a stock of old trees, ponds, aviaries and a children's playground.
In summer (july to august) in the park classical concerts and operas are performed, that you can listen to from your balcony.
The Old Town of Trapani with its plenty restaurants, cafés, bars, shops and bakeries is at your feet.
You can also walk to the nearby train station, the ferry port and, of course, to the town's beaches.
The old palazzo has been refurbished and furnished in the 80's. Some beautiful original floor tiles survived unscathed. Thanks to the complete equipment (including bathtub and washing machine) the flat is convenient for a long-term stay.
On 60m˛ in total there are two big rooms - a living/dining room and a bedroom with a double bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, oven and a big fridge.
There also is an extra bed (shakedown) in a small chamber, that merely has a ventilation to the bathroom/staircase. We let the place to two people but you are free to come in a group of three, of course.
Living room and bedroom both have big windows (french balconies) that look on the green city park. Don't miss the Photogallery.
The train station, bus station and the port all are within 5min walking distance - so you do not need a rental car to explore the city and its surroundings. The public transport takes you to the mediaeval town of Erice atop the 700 meter high Monte Erice. You easily get to Palermo, Marsala, the ancient town of Segesta, the Egadi Islands and of course the town's beaches.
With a car, you furthermore can visit the beautiful coastline between Trapani and Palermo. (including the nature park "Zingaro", the reserve round the Monte Cofano, the old abandonned tuna factory (tonnara) at Scopello, the famous sunny beach at San Vito Lo Capo, and much more.)
The flat costs: 55 EUR per night.
